In our collective quest to build a world of shared prosperity, we look to the cosmos for inspiration, and in doing so, we acknowledge the profound influence of Ether – the formless and limitless element that pervades the entire universe. Ether is the expansive substrate from which all other elements derive, a space without borders that holds the fabric of time itself. As we contemplate Ether, we come to understand its relevance to progress, productivity, and our collective journey as communitarians, recognizing that our obligations stretch beyond mere survival.

As the first responders to the call to adopt evolved ecologically-aligned, lifestyle and love-style principles and practices, such as the cruelty-free vegan living foods diet, coupled to Collaborative Living & Loving that advances us toward Right Livelihood eco-social production and distribution of all that sustains life, liberty and happiness, communitarians are tasked with making each day count toward contributing to the dawning of an era of perpetual peace born of ‘common’ wealth shared prosperity.

In valuing the attributes of Ether, we cannot ignore the dual gifts of time and space. Time is the most precious resource we have; it is fleeting and finite. Every second, every moment is an opportunity to bring forth the reality we envision – a world where prosperity is shared, rather than confiscated or hoarded by a few at the expense and suffering of the majority. Time, like Ether, is intangible and infinite, yet our time on this earth is limited. This paradox drives our sense of urgency. As communitarians, we bear the responsibility to use time wisely, not merely for personal gain but for the betterment of all. Each of us is called to use our time to advance collective well-being, to participate in demonstrating the efficacy of planned systems of collaborative provisioning of resources, and to uphold practices that ensure sustainable living.

To make every day count, we must develop daily routines that honour the sanctity of time to ensure our days are marked by meaningful progress in the areas of personal development and contribution to the quality of life of people and animals as well as the preservation of the planet to be enjoyed by current and future generations.  It means embracing routines that prioritize communal work, connection, and service to others. Time, when spent in the company of others with shared values, creates the space in which our collective efforts flourish. It is in these moments that Ether, the invisible matrix of our existence, manifests through our actions.

Tied closely to our use of time, is the care we give our bodies. Our physical health is a vital component that enables us to engage, contribute, and fulfill our missions over the long term. Looking after ourselves physically, mentally, and emotionally, is not self-centred; rather as communitarians we are obligated to maintain an active and intelligent lifestyle to maximize our energy levels and to live as long as possible in order to transfer our accumulated knowledge and skills to current and future Changemakers.  By striving for good health and longevity, we extend the years, we are able to contribute to the common good of local and regional, globally-networked communitarian unions, as well as the wider-world.

Healthy living is not just about personal well-being; it is a means to honour our responsibility to our associates who toil alongside us to demonstrate evolved social, economic and ecological principles and practices. If we neglect our health, we deprive our associates as well as the collective unions across the globe, of our contributions, weaken our shared efforts, and risk becoming a burden to those who rely on us. For these reasons, communitarians are committed to cultivating habits that support vitality – which includes adopting a diet of Living Foods, moving our bodies with purpose through Active Meditation – be that gardening or wild dance, and also resting when needed, so that we may live long enough to witness and participate in the birth of a new era.

In the stillness of night, when the hustle and bustle of the day recedes and silence envelops our surroundings, we find the space to turn our gaze upward. Contemplating the night sky is more than a simple act of observation; it is a therapeutic practice that grounds us in the enormity of the cosmos while reminding us of our place within it. This nightly observance, a communitarian custom in its own right, offers a moment of reflection – a chance to release the burdens of the day, to acknowledge the vastness of existence, and to draw strength from the infinite canvas of stars.

As we breathe in the cool night air and gaze into the dark expanse, we find a reprieve from the demands of the everyday matters of personal care as well as social and economic contribution. It is a reminder that even as we strive, we must take time to rest, to renew, and to reconnect with the greater whole. The practice of contemplating the cosmos rejuvenates our spirits, replenishing our energy so that we can continue to fulfill our duties with clarity and purpose.

Ether is the element that creates the space for all other elements to exist. It is everywhere, omnipresent, and intertwined with every aspect of life. Without form or boundaries, Ether has no limits; it is the most expansive of the elements, embodying the qualities of openness, freedom, and potential. In our own lives, we can seek to mirror the qualities of Ether by creating space for possibilities, welcoming diversity of thought, and embracing the fluid nature of existence. Just as Ether holds the potential for the other elements to manifest, we too must cultivate the space for new ideas, projects, and collaborations to emerge.

Ether is not only present in the outer cosmos, it resides within us. The Gestalt Provings remind us that our minds, like Ether, are formless and ever-changing, the substrate upon which thoughts, emotions, and aspirations flow. We are reminded that while our thoughts may be as changeable as the weather, beneath them lies the vast and steady presence of Ether. This element teaches us to remain open, adaptable, and expansive in our thinking. When disturbances arise, we can draw strength from the knowledge that the mind’s turmoil is transient, merely waves upon the ocean of Ether.

The contemplative practice of appreciating the attributes of Ether, reminds us to take our responsibilities seriously and to be thankful for the expansive potential that lies within every moment. We are not mere observers of the cosmos; we are active participants in its unfolding. Each day, we engage in deliberate acts of creation; which includes building, nurturing, and sustaining communities that reflect the values we hold dear.

Our commitment to ushering in a world of peace and prosperity means honouring both the urgency of time and the ever-expanding Ether that connects every planet, every star and moon to everything else including ourselves and our associates – those who believe and thus toil alongside us to demonstrate the joy and viability of the eco-social lifestyle made possible by adopting a liberated love-style.

As we contemplate the attributes of Ether, we are reminded of our duty to act with wisdom, to prioritize what truly matters, and to live in harmony with both the visible and the invisible. May we be ever mindful to fill the personal and communal spaces we create with love, understanding and purposeful action, making each moment count towards contributing to the betterment of those who join us in collaborative living and loving. In doing so, we align ourselves with the cosmic rhythms, moving ever closer to the era of peace through shared prosperity.

Ether, in its boundless form, challenges us to see the vast potential within ourselves and our communities. It teaches us to remain open to new possibilities, to embrace change, and to harness the power of space and time for the collective benefit. Every day, we make a choice to fill the space we are given with productivity born of commitment to our defined purpose, or to allow it to remain empty. Our mission as communitarians is clear: we must use every moment wisely, recognizing that time is not just a measure, but a canvas for creation.

For those who make time each day to carry out the 7 daily Observances, appreciating the attributes of Ether becomes not only an element to ponder, but a guiding principle for our way of life – an invitation to live expansively, to honour the interconnectedness of all things, and to remember that within the formless lies the potential for peace and material security to become the norm across the globe, rather than the exception. As we contemplate the attributes of Ether, we find a reflection of the cosmos, and along with it, a mirror of our own purpose; which is to create, share, and cultivate a world where life, liberty and happiness is the constitutional birthright of all.
